Arsenal keen to spend Fabregas cash on Eden Hazard

With Arsenal in the process of banking the £35m from the sale of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona, tongues are already wagging as to what the Gunners will buy with their money - other than a course of anger management lessons for striker Gervinho. According to Radio Television Belge, official broadcaster of Belgium, Arsenal are planning an 11th-hour swoop for Eden Hazard.

The 20-year-old midfield playmaker has long been a target for Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal boss is apparently now ready to fork out £25m for him. In the past, the French club Lille have valued Hazard – rated one of Europe's top young talents – at closer to £35m but Wenger apparently believes he can get him cheaper than that. RTBF claim that negotiations are already under way with the Gunners eager to strike a deal within the next week.
